I need a scope.(for a .308)?
Ok so I bought a wheatherby Van gaurd in 308. I now need a scope for it Im kind of on a budget
So I want a 6-24x50 or bigger. $350 max (include options under 500 I'll consider). this gun is for target shootig at 400 yards plus. any advice is appreatiated.

I bought mine from the first link. Mine is a 4.5-18x56mm though so it is a little older. I have mine mounted on a Tikka T3 in .308win. I was a little skeptical at first but I am definitely happy that I made the choice to buy one. I got mine from the first link because the other guy was out of stock for a long time. In fact, the demand might be high enough that they are both out of stock currently and there might be a waiting list. The falcon scopes are a British company and the two links provided are the only two places who sell them in the U.S. I think. The glass is from Japan which is what you want in a scope! If the glass is Chinese, look somewhere else. German glass is the next best thing but could be hard to find.
Other than that, a good Nikon or Bushnell will do fine. The scope I have has such good clarity that I use it as a spotting scope for my friends when they shoot along side me. It is clear enough that I can see the targets at 300yds and very clear to hit the metal gongs at 600yds consistently. On a good clear night, I can see four of the moons around Jupiter, no BS!!!
