Does anyone have Mirena? I need advice?
had mirena placed in late may/early june. and i am STILL bleeding, yes, bleeding, not just a brown dot here and there. i think i have a 3 weeks total of no bleeding spaced out. i have been bleeding like a light red period flow for almost 3 weeks now and some cramping. i'm sick of it and my skin is oilier and more small pustules (i was told this could be a side effect). how much longer do i have to deal with this bleeding i am sick of it! i had the depo shot a few years ago and bled 9 months straight, the Dr kept saying give it time....does mirena have the same hormones as the shot? i am gonna be done with this thing if it doesnt regukate in 6 months. can anyone give me some insight?

no, i've been bleeding for months. there have been 3 months i have not bled. i had this place in May/June of this year. ive been cramping bad for about 3 weeks...

I recently got the mirena put in and am in the same boat as you it seems since i had the mirena after my period i havent stoped bleeding, it is very annoying and im just hoping it slows down soon as people have told me it should, if it hasnt changed in the 6 months after getting it done im going to get it removed, its great for contraception though. Maybe wait a while and see if there is any change if not get it out.
