Images and lens???? Really confused!?
So, in my college physics lab we are working on lens and images. We worked with an optics bench that had a light source with an object on it, a converging lens in between and then a screen on which an image was projected. There were 112 cm between the screen and the light source. We had to place the object at 112 cm and the screen at -1 cm and then move the lens until the image was clear on the screen. The image was projected on the screen clearly twice. Once at 26 cm and then again at 85 cm. Can someone PLEASE explain why, for a given screen --- object distance, there are TWO positions where the image
is in focus???
