Nikon Scope, Need help....?

Hello Is this a good deal on a Nikon ProStaff 3-9X40? And will it work good with a .22 and shotgun? Is there any other scopes in the price range that is better??

No - It wont work with a shotgun..... With this scope plan on having it blast you in the face when you pull the trigger --- The eye relief is to close......

Fake? --- Not likely - The seller has a high positive feedback rating -- He didn't get that by selling knock off fake stuff..... More expensive scopes is where you have to worry about fakes.... Not an inexpensive scope....
