Are these scopes still worth any money?
I recently was given 10 target style scopes in the 6-24X44 style as well as a $400 Millett 6-25X56 mildot. A gunsmith gave them to me for free because they had survived a low heat fire where they didn't get hot but the smoke coated all of them in a black goo. Insurance replaced the scopes for the original owner so now I have them. After cleaning them with Simple green they all look almost brand new. I installed each one on a .308 Norma mag and bore sighted them, then shot 3 rounds and put the bore sight back in to check them again and each one held their zero. Most were worth around $190 brand new, Are they worth anything now?
