Mil Dot recticle bullet drop hold?

I have 10-40X50 riflescope with a mildot.I zeroed my scope @100 yds with 40x(highest) magnification. For bullet drop holds what power setting should be my riflescope now to perform according to the ballistic chart.I tried to find this in w.mildot.com but no luck !

If you have a Mil-Dot reticule it should be immune from power setting,
(second focal plane), on any decent scope.
Those 'mil-dots' are supposted to indicate fixed angles.
Check by changing magnification and see if the distance
between the dots appears to change.
If it does, then it doesn't matter what magnifcation you're using.
Read the instructions that came with your scope.
If those dot's are married to a certain magnification it will tell you.
It will also tell you how many 'mil's each dot represents.
